1 killed, 3 injured in cracker unit blast

Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, Apr 5 (UNI) One worker was killed on the spot and three other were seriously injured following an explosion at a popular cracker unit at Thiruthangal near here today.

Police said the blast occurred when the workers were engaged in manually mixing chemicals for making crackers.

The deceased was identified as I Samuel (40).

The condition of the injured admitted to the Government Hospital was stated to be critical, the police said.
