murder
case
on
April
5
and
6.
Prof
Sabharwal
had
died
when
he
was
attacked
by
students
irked
over
the
postponement
of
student
union
elections
on
August
26.
The
CID,
which
was
entrusted
with
the
investigation
in
the
matter,
had
named
six
ABVP
workers,
including
the
then
state
ABVP
President
Shahsi
Ranjan
Akela,
as
accused.
So
far,
19
out
of
55
witnesses
had
recorded
their
statements
before
District
Sessions
Judge
A
K
Sharma's
court.
Thirty-six
witnesses,
including
six
eyewitnesses,
have
to
record
their
statements.
