JSW crude steel output up 20 pc in Q4FY07
New Delhi, Apr 4: JSW Steel Ltd today reported a 20 per cent rise in crude steel production at 7.14 lakh tonnes during January-March this year.
Its hot-rolled (HR) coil production increased by 17 per cent to 6.48 lakh tonnes in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2006-07, while the production of HR Plates stood at 0.60 lakh tonnes, up 64 per cent.
The company recorded a drop of 15 per cent in the production of galvanised steel at 1.82 lakh tonnes.
''JSW could achieve significant growth in volumes even after shut down of one of the furnaces due to accidental fire on February 15,'' a statement said.
The company's annual crude steel production was 2.65 million tonnes during FY07.
