Eicher Motors March sales up 20 pc

New Delhi, Apr 4: Eicher Motors today posted a growth of 20 per cent in its March sales at 3,730 units as compared 3,108 units during the corresponding period last year.

The sales during the financial year 2006-07 touched 28,077 units, registering a growth of 19 per cent over the previous fiscal.

In the 16 tonnes and above Heavy Commercial Vehcle segment, the company recorded a sale of 831 units, while it sold 30,000 units in the Light and Medium Commercial Vehicle segment during fiscal 2006-07.

''In the passenger vehicles segment, sales in the domestic market grew to 476 units (58 per cent over March-06). Total sales in overseas markets recorded a high of 447 units during March 07 (37 per cent over March-06),'' company's Commercial Vehicle Division Chief Executive A Ramasubramanian said.
