Woman burnt by her neighbour in Kheda

Nadiad, Apr 03 (UNI) A women was set on fire by her neighbour yesterday night at Antroli village in Kheda district.

Saritaben Kanubhai Rathod (35), wife of a deceased farmer, was sleeping alone when her neighbour Dasrath Rathod entered her house and made sexual advances.

When she refused, an angry Dasrath doused her with kerosene and set her on fire. On hearing her cries, neighbours rushed for her help . Dasrath, however, managed to escape. She has been rushed to Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad where her condition is said to be critical.

Matar Police have registered a complaint under IPC sections 307, 452 and 354.
