Wipro invests million in facility expansion
Mumbai, Apr 3: Wipro Ltd, India's third-largest software services exporter, said on Tuesday it had invested 3.75 billion rupees ( million) to expand its facility in the western city of Pune.
The expansion will ramp up the facility's capacity to about 17,000 seats from 6,300, a company statement said. The facility is mainly focused on developing solutions for banking, insurance, and telecom industries.
Shares in New York-listed Wipro, which provides IT solutions and services such as systems integration, software application development and maintenance, were up 1.7 per cent at 526.80 rupees.
