TTD to generate revenue from human hair offering

Tirupati, Apr 3 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam (TTD) authorities would generate more revenue from the hair offered by devotees at Tirumala by calling for tenders from buyers.

Talking to newspersons here today, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Finance Advisor Anitha Akella said last year TTD had generated Rs 33 crore through auctions of hair.

Ms Anita said this is the first time that tender for sale of human hair has been invited on line. Revenue would increase following the globalisation of tenders, she added.
