AP: TTD to ensure comfortable darshan for pilgrims

Tirumala, Apr 3: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to give hassle-free darshan of Lord Venkateswara to pilgrims during summer holidays.

In a meeting here with his officials, TTD Executive Officer APVN Sarma said to cope with the pilgrims rush during summer, TTD has decided to cancel discretionary quota for tickets on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from April 6 to second week of June.

For the convenience of the pilgrims, the Utsava Murthis will be arranged at Vaibhavotsava Mandapam or at Vahana Mandapam. He urged the pilgrims to have the darshan of Sri Malayappa Swamy and Sridevi, Bhudevi during their visit to Tirumala.

Mr Sarma said priority would be given to drinking water. In order to save water in Tirumala, Chief Engineer should coordinate with municipal authority, he added.

TTD would ensure food and other amenities to the pilgrims, he added.
