Tension in Nithari after 'rape' of minor girl

Noida, Apr 3: Tension prevailed in Nithari area here after a minor girl was allegedly raped this afternoon.

The five-year-old child was allegedly raped by a tenant in the house, who was 'caught' by the villagers and beaten.

The minor was taken to nearby district hospital while the accused was arrested by the police.

Investigations were on.

The incident happened even as people in Nithari were still trying come to terms with the fact that more than 38 children from the village had gone 'missing' in the last one-and-half years.

Police had found skeleton remains of 19 people, mostly children, from in and around a nearby house belonging to Moninder Pal Singh in Sector 31.
