TDP leader killed
Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 3 (UNI) A Leader of the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was allegedly hacked to death by his political opponents near Vasuluru village of Pedavappuru mandal in Anantapur district today.
Police said his political opponents had attacked Adinarayana Reddy, a mandal leader, when he was sleeping in his agricultural lands in the early hours.
They attacked Mr Adinarayana with sickles and axes. He died on the spot.
The assailants fled the scene after the murder. Efforts were on to nab the culprits.
