Shree Cements deploys Oracle suite

New Delhi, Apr 3: Shree Cement Ltd today said it has selected software major Oracle's E-Business suite to manage operations at its power generation plants,three manufacturing locations and over 100 stock holding units.

The company expects the software to help improve its business performance through process optimisation, improved logistics management, integration across business functionalities and transparency across the organisation.

It also expects to move up the value chain to achieve greater market credibility and increased stakeholder confidence.

''Shree Cement chose Oracle Application as it fits our requirement to support our growth plan and vision of sustained profitability and prosperity,'' said Shree Cement Executive Director M K Singhi.

''It supports the company's plan to increase production capacity of 20 MTPA by 2012. By improving the efficiency of our information and decision support system, we shall be improving service, satisfaction and confidence of our stakeholders, while lessening the workload for our employees, he added.

Shree Cement will deploy key modules of the Oracle E-Business Suite including procurement, financials, order management, logistics, process manufacturing, sourcing, enterprise asset management, human resources and payroll.
