Regional development board for eight talukas in Thane

Mumbai, Apr 03 (UNI) Maharashtra minister of state for Planning Rajesh Tope today said a separate regional development board would be set up for eight talukas of Thane district, which are not included in the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional development authority.

Replying to a query by Jeetendra Avad (NCP), Mr Tope said the proposal to form the separate board has been sent to urban development department.

Mr Avad criticised the exclusion of these eight talukas as step motherly treatment and stressed the need to rectify the same.
