Quake jolts Kashmir; triggers panic among people

Srinagar, Apr 3: Strong tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir this morning triggering panic among the people, who ran out of their homes.

The temblor, which was felt at about 0907 hrs in this region, was a grim reminder of the devastating October 8, 2005, quake which had occurred at around the same time.

There were no immediate reports of any casualty or damage.

Details on the tremors were still sketchy.
