Ranchi, Apr 3 (UNI) The Opposition NDA members created uproar in the Jharkhand Assembly for the second consecutive day, demanding a House Committee inquiry into the matter of providing compensation and jobs to displaced workers of the Panem coalmines in the Pakur district.

The House proceedings were disrupted by the Opposition members yesterday also demanding probe into the matter by a House committee.

As the House assembled for today's business, raising the issue JMM MLA Shushila Hansda again demanded a House Committee inquiry into the matter, saying the matter should also be added in the House proceedings.

Mr C P Singh and Upendra Nath Das (both from BJP) said the matter should be probed by a special Assembly Committee.

Speaker Alamgir Alam had already recommended the matter to question and call attention committee, which would file its report in sixty days.

However, Chief Minister Madhu Koda said Ms Hansda along with another JMM MLA Sufal Marandi would also be present at the time of inquiry.

Ms Hansda alleged that the state government was not concerned about the Panem coalmines displaced in Pakur, who were leading a ''miserable life'' as neither were they given compensation nor provided with jobs.

The House also recommended the Jharkhand State Agriculture Pruduction Market Amendment Act, 2007, to the Standing Committee, which would file its report in 30 days.
