Pakistan renews invitation to Manmohan Singh

New Delhi, Apr 3: Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz today renewed his invitation to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to visit Pakistan at an early date.

Dr Manmohan Singh has repeatedly said in the past few months that, while he had accepted the invitation extended to him by Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and Mr Aziz, he would make the trip only when there was something substantive on the table.

"We have invited him to visit Pakistan whenever it is convenient to him. We hope to receive him at a mutually convenient time," he told a group of editors on the sidelines of the 14th SAARC Summit here this afternoon.
