Sydney: Origin to invest A mln in coal seam gas

Sydney, Apr 3: Origin Energy Ltd., Australia's second-largest power retailer, said on Tuesday it would invest a further A million ( million) to boost coal seam gas production in its Spring Gully field in Queensland.

The Sydney-based company said the investment is on top of the A4 million expansion of Spring Gully announced last July, bringing Origin's total investment in its Queensland coal seam gas assets to over ASydney, Apr 3: Origin Energy Ltd., Australia's second-largest power retailer, said on Tuesday it would invest a further A$53 million ($43 million) to boost coal seam gas production in its Spring Gully field in Queensland.

The Sydney-based company said the investment is on top of the A$114 million expansion of Spring Gully announced last July, bringing Origin's total investment in its Queensland coal seam gas assets to over A$2 billion since 2000.
