Nithari rapist beaten to death

Noida, Apr 3 (UNI) Arjun, who was accused of raping a five-year-old in Nithari village here, was today beaten to death.

The 23-year-old was brutally beaten up by the villagers, before being handed over to the police. The police took him to a hospital in Ghaziabad where he succumbed to his injuries.

A five-year-old child was allegedly raped this afternoon by Arjun, who was a tenant in the house.

The girl was also taken to a district hospital for medical treatment.

The incident happened even as people in Nithari were still trying come to terms with the fact that more than 38 children from the village had gone 'missing' in the last one-and-half years.

Police had found skeleton remains of 19 people, mostly children, from in and around a nearby house belonging to Moninder Pal Singh in Sector 31.
