National Peroxide announces plant expansion

Mumbai, Apr 3 (UNI) A Wadia group company, National Peroxide today announced a further capacity expansion of its Hydrogen Peroxide plant from its current capacity of 49,000 MTPA to 70,000 MTPA.

The plant is located at Kalyan, in neighbouring Thane district.

Hydrogen Peroxide is also known as 'Mr Clean' because it is environmental friendly. It finds extensive use in textile, paper, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Strong market demand and the availability of natural gas from the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) to be made available by Oct this year, prompted the Board of Directors to decide to go in for a further capacity expansion, the company said in an official statement.
