TN: Suicide attempt in front of Secretariat

Chennai, Apr 3: Police arrested a 50-year-old man when he attempted to commit suicide by pouring kerosene on him in front of the Secretariat here, protesting against the police for not taking action on his complaint.

Police said the man arrested yesterday, Muniyandi hailing from the suburb Red Hills was involved in property dispute with his two sons.

It was alleged that his sons were beaten up him.

Muniyandi lodged a compliant with the Red hills police in this regard. But police did not take any action on his complaint.
