Hyundai Motor launches new Getz Prime

Bangalore, Apr 3: India's fastest growing auto manufacturer and largest passenger car exporter, Hundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), launched the new Getz Prime here today.

Speaking after the launch HMIL Executive Director (Marketing) W S Min said that the new Getz, which was very well received in Europe, was introduced to Indian Market with two engine options. A powerful 1.3 litre and economical 1.1 litre petrol engine which would bolster the existing range of Hyundai cars in the country.

He said that while the 1.3 litre was targeted at all those who were looking for performance, along with stylish look and space, the slightly smaller 1.1 litre petrol unit offers the same amount of space but at a lower ownership cost and it would be more economical for day to day use.

HMIL Vice President (Marketing) Arvind Saxena said that among other models, Santro has been very well received in abroad. "In fact there are back orders for Santro. Last year about One lakh cars were sold in Korea. Altogether 150,000 Santro and Accer were exported last year and this year the Export may be more.
