Heat wave conditions prevail in WB, Sikkim, Bihar, UP

Pune, Mar 3 (UNI) Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and north interior Karnataka.

Hot day conditions also prevailed in some parts of coastal Saurashtra and of north Konkan.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalseema, coastal and south interior Karnataka and in remaining parts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Saurashtra and were above normal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Marathwada coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. They were below normal in some parts of west Rajasthan and were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim and at isolated places in Orissa, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Lakshadweep.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Andman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
