HC seeks reply on Shahabuddin's plea

Patna, Apr 3 (UNI) Patna High Court today asked the Bihar government to file a counter affidavit on RJD MP from Siwan Mohd Shahabuddin's petition seeking his production in person before a Muzzaffarpur court in connection with a criminal case.

Justice Shyam Kishore Sharma passed the order on a criminal writ petition of the Siwan MP.

The sub-divisional in the Judicial Magistrate in Muzzaffarpur had issued direction for his production in connection with a criminal case lodged there.

Md Shahabuddin was accused of deputing another person to impersonate him in a Law examination in September, 2005, when he was evading arrest in a number of criminal cases pending against him.
