Gold, silver decline
Mumbai, Apr 3 (UNI) Both the precious metals today declined further on sluggish demand with Gold down by Rs 70 per ten gm and Silver by Rs 60 per kg on the Bombay Bullion Exchange.
Silver opened low at Rs 19,440 per kg on thin buying support.
Later, it rose a little and closed at Rs 19,450 with a loss of Rs 60 from yesterday's close.
In London, Silver also fell at USD 13.29/13.32 per troy ounce against USD 13.34/13.37 per troy ounce in New York.
Similarly, standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) opened weak at Rs 9,330 and Rs 9,380 per ten gm.
The yellow metal drifted lower and closed at Rs 9,305 and Rs 9,350 with a loss of Rs 65 for standard gold and Rs 70 for pure gold from its last close.
However, in London, the yellow metal rose at USD 661.40/664.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 660.40/663.30 per troy ounce in New York on Monday.
