Eight IPS, 50 PPS officers transfered in Punjab

Chandigarh, Apr 3 (UNI) In a major reshuffle in the state police, the Punjab Government today ordered transfer and posting of eight IPS and 50 PPS officers with immediate effect in the state.

Mr Paramjit Singh Grewal, AIG Traffic, Punjab, Chandigarh, has been transfered and posted as Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala, vice Mr L K Yadav who goes as SSP Faridkot.

Mr Kapil Dev, SSP Faridkot, has been posted as AIG, Community Policing and NRI Affairs, Punjab, Chandigarh. Mr Arunpal Singh, SSP Nawan Shaher, and Mr B Chandra Shekhar, SSP Sangrur, swap their posts.

Mr Sharad Satya Chauhan, DIG-cum-Joint Director, MRS PPA, Phillaur, will hold additional charge of DIG Vigilance Bureau, Jalandhar.

Mr M F Farooqi, Commandant 2nd IRB, Ladda Kothi, and Mr Paramraj Singh, Commandant 3rd IRB, Ludhiana, swap their posts.
