Dwarka to have a hanging bridge on Gomti river

Jamnagar, Apr 3 (UNI) Dwarka Devasthan Committee has decided to build a hanging bridge 'Sudama bridge' over Gomti river in Dwarka at a cost of Rs ten crore.

The announcement was made by Dwarka Devasthan Committee Vice-Chairman Parimal Nathwani yesterday on the sidelines of a media briefing by Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Apart from constructing the 'Sudama bridge', the Committee has decided to build a temple square and a rest house for pilgrims, he said.

''Dwarka is one of the 'yatra-dhams' (pilgrimage spots) in our country. Hence we have decided to undertake these projects,'' he said.

All the three projects will be completed with active co-operation of Devasthan Committee, Tourism Development Board, State government, Reliance Industries and contribution from the public.

Project plans and estimates have been sent to State archaeology department for its final approval, he added.
