Blindfolded magician rides through city roads

Hyderabad, Apr 3 (UNI) People in the city have witnessed an unusual feat by magician Akash who rode a motorcycle, blindfold and manoeuvring it with ease through heavy traffic to stress the need for safe driving.

Akash, son of world-renowned magician ''Jadugar'' Anand, rode over 21 km for the cause.

Starting from a popular landmark ''Hariharakala Bhavan'' in Secunderabad city, he passed through the busy areas of Tarnaka, Osmania university, RTC X Roads, Nampally, Ranigunj and back to the starting point.

''I performed the feat to urge the negligent and offensive drivers to follow traffic rules and make roads a safe place for all,'' the young magician said after completing his performance yesterday.

Attributing his son's ability to successfully complete the feat to meditation and concentration, his father Jadugar Anand said if blindfold riders could navigate safely on busy roads, people with sight too can do that with concentration and by following traffic rules.

''Jadugar'' Anand is to give performances in magic from April 5 here.
