Award for Kiran Bedi

Ujjain, MP, Apr 3 (UNI) Ramon Magsaysay recipient and the first lady Indian Police Service officer Kiran Bedi will be honoured with the Krantiveer Award 2007 here tomorrow.

Instituted in 1999, this award is conferred annually in memory of freedom fighter Ramchandra Raghuvanshi 'Kakaji', an Organising Committee release said.

Earlier recipients include 'India's Most Wanted' series Director Sohaib Ilyasi, Tehelka.com journalist Tarun Tejpal, renowned Bollywood personality and former Union Minister Sunil Dutt, Ramayan teleseries Director Ramanand Sagar and journalist Anirudh Bahal who himself made headlines with the 'Operation Duryodhan' expose.

UNI
