2 day Vedic Sammelan from Apr 7

Visakhapatnam, Apr 3 (UNI) As many as 60 Vedic pundits from the three districts of Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam and 40 Vedic students from Patasalas in Vizianagaram, Simhachalam, Tuni, Annavaram, Kakinada, Kapileswarapuram, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Srisailam, Mahanadi and Kancheepuram in Tamil Nadu will participate in a 'Sammelan' and write examinations in all four Vedas over two days from April 7.

According to the Uttarandhra Veda Vidya Trust Secretary D Bhaskara Murthy today said it was the eighth annual sammelan. The trust was organising it jointly with the Arya Vysya Sangham, Gajapathinagaram.

On the first day, a procession of Vedic pundits, students and locals would be held followed by a discourse.

Sadguru K Sivananda Murthy of Anandavanam Ashram from Bheemunipatnam would honour the scholars.
