Work halted in collectorates due to picketting

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 2 (UNI) Work in the district collectorates came to a standstill as village servants and farmers picketted them demanding the government to solve their long pending problems.

All routes leading to district collectorates of the headquarters of West Godavari district were closed due to the agitations.

The village servants, in response to the call given by "Andhra Pradesh Gram Sevak Sangh", earlier reached Eluru from every nook and corner of the district.

Elaborate security arrangements were made in and around the collectorates to prevent any untoward incidents, police added.
