TRS to implead in Babli case:KCR
Hyderabad, Apr 2 (UNI) The opposition Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) will implead in the case filed by the Andhra Pradesh government, praying the Supreme Court for a direction to the Maharashtra government to stop the ongoing Babli project across the Godavari river.
Informing this to reporters here today, party President K Chandrasekara Rao claimed that the TDP, which did nothing to protect the state's interest on riparian issues, was only ''shedding crocodile tears'' now.
Questioning why Mr Naidu had kept mum when the Congress Government stubbornly took up the Pothireddypadu and Pulichintla projects affecting the interests of Telangana, Mr Rao said Mr Naidu's announcing Janachaitanya Yatra in the Telangana region, was a 'farce.' Expressing solidarity with the students of the Other Backward Classes aggrieved by the Apex Court stay on OBC quota law, the former Union Labour Minister announced support for the April four Bandh called by the BC Ayikeya Vedika.
Vehmently opposing transfer of Government employees from the Telangana region to other areas of Andhra Pradesh by the Congress Government allegedly in violation of the Presidential Order, Mr Rao said the party would press for the Centre's intervention on the issue.
