Three boys drown in Narmada

Vadodara, Apr 2 (UNI) Three boys drowned in the Narmada river at Chandod, about 35 kms from here today.

According to a local fire brigade official, Ajay Maheshbhai Rana (18), Viral Natwarbhai Rana (19) and Anil Ranjit Parmar (20) had gone with a group of nine boys to Chandod, a religious place, to take bath in the river on the occasion of Hindu festival of Chaitra Punam.

''The boys were swept away,'' a fire brigade officer told UNI adding that the fire brigade had launched a search operation to recover the bodies of the boys.
