TDP demands Bharat Ratna for Babu Jagjeevan Ram

Hyderabad, Apr 2 (UNI) The opposition Telugu Desam Party today demanded the Centre to confer the Bharat Ratna on Babu Jagjeevan Ram posthumously.

The party polit bureau, which met here under the chairmanship of its President N Chandrababu Naidu, also wanted the house of the Dalit leader to be converted into a museum.

The party decided to organise an year-long celebrations on his birth centenary year, its General Secretary K Srihari told reporters here.
