Special recruitment drive for J

Srinagar, Apr 2 (UNI) The Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) have launched a special recruitment drive in the Jammu and Kashmir.

A spokesman of the ITBP said candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir are eligible to apply for the post of contables in the ITBP.

He said there are a total of 268 vacancies to be filled up.

He said minimum qualification for a candidate is matriculate.

The last date for filing up the application form is April 7, 2007, he said adding physical and other tests will be conducted later.

The army, BSF, CRPF and CISF have also recruited candidates from the Jammu and Kashmir during special recruitment drives during the past six years.

A number of former militants have also been adjusted in these forces after their clearance by the police.
