SP activists clash
Agra, Apr 2 (UNI) A clash broke out between two groups of the ruling Samajwadi Party today, even as SP general secretary Amar Singh was addressing an election meeting here.
While Mr Singh was delivering his speech, the supporters of a local SP candidate Bashir Khan started raising impromptu slogans.
This disrupted Mr Singh's speech and police removed Mr Khan from dais, which infuriated the latter's supporters. They raised anti-Amar Singh and pro-Khan slogans.
However, they were pacified by SP MP and actor Jaya Prada and former external affairs minister Natwar Singh.
Mr Singh claimed that the opposition parties wanted to create a rift in SP and divide its cadre.
