Revenue official held for graft in Kashmir
Srinagar, Apr 2 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organisation today caught red handed a revenue official while accepting bribe.
A vigilance spokesman said a Head Assistant in the Deputy Commissioner's office in Budgam, Ghulam Mehdi Pandit, was nabbed while accepting a bribe of Rs 3000 for processing of a case relating to an approach road to a shopping complex at Gogu Humhama.
He said Mohammad Ramzan Bhat, a resident of Gogu Humhama, lodged a report with the vigilance organisation, alleging that the accused was demanding Rs 3000 for processing the file.
A case was registered and the investigations taken up. The vigilance sleuths had laid a trap and arrested the accused while accepting the bribe.
