Chennai, Apr 2 (UNI) The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), a constituent of the DMK-led DPA in Tamil Nadu, today offered its full support to the one-day bandh called by various fishermen associations at Kanyakumari tomorrow.

The bandh call was to protest against the recent killing of four fishermen by the Lankan Navy.

Expressing his party's full support, PMK founder S Ramadoss in a statement here said there had been continuous attack on Indian fishermen by the Lankan Navy and such incidents had increased in the recent past.

Urging the Centre and the state governments to think and act to put an end to such attacks, he said steps should be taken to ensure that the Indian fishermen return to the shore safely after fishing in the high seas.

The state government should hold talks with leaders of all political parties to identify a permanent solution to it and inform the Centre about it accordingly.
