NRI sent to judicial custody for murder

New Delhi, Apr 2 (UNI) A city court today remanded to one-week judicial custody a as NRI who allegedly murdered his wife in United States.

Awatar Singh Gariwal, a manager with a firm in Canada, was arrested soon after he landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Saturday.

A look-out circular had been issued on 32-year-old Gariwal after his estranged wife Navneet Kaur was found dead on Friday at her home in Phoenix. The two had married in October 2005 in India but had subsequently separated.
