Miscreants shot dead former ultra

Shillong, Apr 02 (UNI) Armed miscreants shot dead a surrendered Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council militant at Meghalaya's Dawki village in Jaintia Hills District near the Indo-Bangla border, police said here today.

Police said the incident occurred hours when the militants opened fire at C Baiapher Lymba, the deceased, while ruling out the involvement of the HNLC militants in the incident.

Meanwhile, police have registered a murder case.
