Maoists kill village officer

Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 2 (UNI) Maoists allegedly killed a Village Administrative Officer (VAO) in Rentapalli village in Prakasham district this afternoon.

Police said Thangirala Akki Reddy (50), VAO of I T Varam village, was resting in his house in Rentapalli when four Maoists entered and shot at him from point blank range, killing him on the spot.
