LTTE no threat to India's integrity, says Rane

Gwalior, Apr 2: Air Marshal Yashwantrao Rane today said Sri Lanka's militant organisation Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) was no threat to the country's integrity.

Mr Rane, who is also Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command (SAC), told reporters here today that the LTTE's attack on Sri Lanka proved its strength but it posed no threat to India.

However, Mr Rane, who was on a private visit here, said, the country was prepared in every manner, including going to war, to deal with the situation if something occurred. Besides sufficient radar, fighter aircraft and modern weapons, it had a strategy already in place.
