Joint training exercise with other countries to continue: Rane
Gwalior, Apr 2 (UNI) Air Marshal Yashwantrao Rane today said the process of conducting joint training exercises with the US, Britain, Singapore and other countries would continue.
Mr Rane, who is also Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command (SAC), newspersons here that starting joint training exercises with other countries was also being considered at the government level.
He said the IAF used the Maharajpura airbase in Gwalior in western part of the country and the Kalaikunda airbase in West Bengal in eastern part of the country for conducting joint training exercises.
Mr Rane added the Maharajpura airbase was more convenient for western countries as it was in the west part of the country.
Besides ultra-modern radar and Miraj base, the weather here was ideal of joint training exercises.
Air Marshal Rane said India did not face any threat from Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).
