Hyundai posts 19% growth in FY 06-07

New Delhi, Apr 2 (UNI) Country's second largest car maker Hyundai Motor India Ltd today registered an impressive 19 per cent growth in its overall vehicle sales at 3,10,786 units in the financial year 2006-07.

The company sold 1,95,261 units in the domestic market during the fiscal posting a growth of 22.8 per cent while the exports accounted for 1,15,525 units by registering a growth of 13.15 per cent.

Its March sales clocked 28,239 units in total, with 19,300 units being sold in domestic market while 8,939 units were exported.

The company saw a 21.1 per cent growth in the first quarter (January-March 2007) selling 52,219 units in the domestic market in comparison to 43,132 units during the same period last year. Exports stood at 27,707 units with a growth of 8.5 per cent as compared to 43,132 units in January-March 2006.

The overall growth of the January-March 2007 is 16.4 per cent with 79,926 units compared to same period last year with 68,653 units.
