Honda Siel March sales jump 38.7 pc

New Delhi, Apr 2 (UNI) Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) today closed the financial year with an increase of 38.7 per cent in its March sales at 8,489 units as compared to 6,120 units during the same period last year.

The company registered an all-time high sales growth of 43.5 per cent at 61,327 units in the financial year 2006-07 as compared to 42,727 cars last year.

Honda Civic sold a total of 16,262 units in a period of nine months since its launch in the country in July 2006.

Honda City ZX, accounted for 40,464 units in the year, and Accord and CR-V sales for 2006-07 stood at 2,728 and 1,873 units respectively.

''Our sales have been witnessing a steady increase signifying the success of our models launched recently,'' HSCI Senior General Manager (Marketing) Jnaneswar Sen said.
