High tech equipment to modernise BSF

Jaisalmer, Apr 2 (UNI) Border Security Force (BSF) personnel are being equipped with high-tech equipment to modernise the force and strengthen security along the borders with Pakistan.

The new equipment include battlefield radars, Hand-held Thermal imagers, Laser Range Finder and Global Positioning system among many others.

BSF Inspector General (Rajasthan Frontier) K L Meena said, adding a large number of high-tech and advanced equipment were being made available to the BSF personnel along with HHT, BFR, Night Vision device, LRR which would be installed at the BSF check posts to increase security along the borders.

Several measures are also being taken to keep the personnel comfortable during the searing summers, he added.
