Hanuman Jayanti celebrated in Manipur

Imphal, Apr 2 (UNI) Shri Hanuman Jayanti was today celebrated in Manipur amid gaeity and splendour.

A huge procession was taken out from Mahabali temple here and proceeded through the streets of Imphal before culminating at the the main market here.

The festival was organised by Shri Hanuman Jayanti Mohotsava Samiti. Sweets and eatables were distributed by devotees during the procession, in which hundreds of people wearing saffron dresses participated.

The district police made special road security arrangement for the festival.
