Bangalore, Apr 2 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather oiffice at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Maximum temperatures rose at a few places over Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka; above normal at many places being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and above normal at many places over North Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga&Raichur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Mainly dry weather may prevail over the State.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Maximum temperature would be around 36 degree celsius.
