EC appoints new DM for Siddharthnagar

Lucknow, Apr 2 (UNI) The Election Commission today appointed Mr Anil Kumar Sagar as the new district magistrate of Siddharthangar, replacing Mr Chob Singh Verma.

Additional CEO Mritunjay Narain said here that Mr Verma, who was appointed earlier by the EC, could not join due to some reason.

Meanwhile, the EC has directed all the presiding officers to note if the voter has used his Election Photo Identity Card (EPIC) during voting or used the alternatives given by the Commission.

The Commission has also issued a stern warning to the candidates, who are illegally using vehicles for their campaign.
