Detenu suffers heart attack, in hospital
Chennai, Apr 02 (UNI) A Kerala-based industrialist, wanted by the Mumbai police since 2001 in connection with a cheating case, suffered a heart attack soon after he was detained by the immigration authorities at Anna International Airport.
Police said Mumbai City Police had sounded a red alert in all airports in the country about the possible escape of the industrialist Thomas Mathew (57) to a foreign destination.
When he came to catch a Paris-bound Air France flight yesterday, the immigration authorities detained him. During interrogation, he detenu complained of a chest pain and was admitted to a private hospital in the city. His condition was said to be critical, the police said.
