Delay in munsiff judge appointment highlighted

Puducherry, Apr 2: Leader of the Opposition A M H Nazeem today brought to the notice of the Legislative Assembly the delay in the appointment of the munisiff judge in Karaikal and the subsequent agitations by the lawyers.

Tabling a special mention during Zero Hour, Mr Nazeem said nothing materialised even after the meeting with Madras High Court portfolio judge on the issue and urged the intervention of the administration to put an end to the agitation by the lawyers and redress the grievences of the people.

However, no reply was given to his special mention.

Mr A Anbazhagan (AIADMK), demanding all materials should be given to him in Tamil, returned a copy of the government gazette in English to the Speaker.

Taking up the issue through a special mention during Zero Hour, Mr Anbazhagan pointed out though Tamil was the offical language here,he was given a copy of the gazette in English.
