Cong workers demonstrate against Siddaramaiah's arrest
Gulbarga, Apr 2 (UNI) Congress activists, led by former Minister Khakurid Islam, today took out a procession in the city in protest against the arrest of former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Mysore on March 31.
The agitators later assembled at the Deputy Commissioner's office and submitted a memorandum to the Government through the Deputy Commissioner.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Islam described the arrest as the ''Government's goonda giri'' and said the Congress in the State would not remain a mute spectator to such ''outrageous acts''.
